In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the silver Kookaburra coin the Perth Mint by featuring the original coin design from 1990. Each kookaburra also includes the years "1990 - 2015" and the traditional Perth "P" mintmark has had 25 added to it. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words, "Elizabeth II Australia 2015 30 Dollars" and the artist's initials.

Un kookaburra adulte est perché sur un tronc d'arbre et est entouré de feuilles d'eucalyptus et de fougères indigènes à l'Australie. La conception est la même que l'originale, mais les améliorations effectuées par la Peth Mint au fil des ans y sont intégrées, la rendant encore plus détaillée. Une année double a été ajoutée afin de la distinguer de l'originale. Même la marque d'atelier traditionnelle de la Perth Mint a été modifiée avec l'ajout du nombre 25.
