The Royal Canadian Mint is taking art to new depths in 2021! Introducing the first ever Super Incuse Gold Maple Leaf (GML). While the 2020 Rhodium-Plated GML coin featured an incuse depth of 0.3 mm, the iconic maple leaf on this coin is engraved 1.5 mm below the surface – an incredible feat made possible by new technology from the Royal Canadian Mint’s Research and Development team.
